Leading E-commerce Platform for Digital Creators, Selar, Partners with Kippa to train Creators in Africa on Financial Accountability.

Africa’s leading e-commerce store builder for creators, Selar, in partnership with Kippa, has announced an online event on Financial Accountability for the Creator Economy.

Selar is a creator-focused platform that enables anyone to monetize their knowledge or skill via digital products or memberships. Creators on Selar typically sell ebooks, courses, training, and other digital products. With over 200,000 users, Selar is the driving force of Africa’s creator economy.

Kippa is a platform that provides the simplest bookkeeping and accounting software for Nigerian small businesses. With Kippa, you can record transactions, send receipts and invoices & track payments. You can also open a business account to send and receive payments from your customers.

Selar’s goal has always been to give African creators the necessary tools they can use to monetize their knowledge and sell digital products. While doing this, creators can easily take their share of the $100 billion creator economy valuation.  But beyond making sales and creating digital products, there is a need for creators to be financially accountable to enable them to create wealth and build a solid business from just selling digital products.

With this in mind, Selar has partnered with Kippa to train African creators on the need for financial accountability in building a profitable digital product business.

Through this partnership, Selar and Kippa will provide an opportunity for digital creators to learn how to set financial goals, track spending, learn how to make more money selling digital products, and ultimately become financially accountable.

Product Marketing Manager at Kippa, Onyinyechi Nneji, said, “As we build more products and ultimately expand, we are also having to expand the scope of what we believed was our target audience.

She continued “…A big portion of our users are creators who want to manage their finances and quite honestly, what value means for them is so different from what it means for product-based businesses. We are very excited to solve this segment and educate them about useful technology like Selar to help them grow.”

The Creator economy has continued to be a fast-paced economy that has developed rapidly and has greatly influenced the digital economy as a whole. Individuals who started as internet users have become internet savvy by using social media alongside software and financial tools to monetize their content, knowledge and skills online. As more people become aware of the profitability of the creator economy, the need for creators to be financially accountable has increased.

Making a comment on this partnership, the Growth & Marketing Manager at Selar, Milton Tutu, said, “While giving digital creators all the tools they need to make their digital product journey easy and swift, we understand that there is more to winning as a digital creator than just making a sale.

We agree strongly with this as there is more to taking your share of the billion-dollar creator economy than just making a sale.

“Financial Accountability is an important aspect every digital creator needs to consider especially if they want to grow from just a freelancer to a well-structured business. We are more than happy that we are having this conversation with our friends at Kippa to educate creators in Africa on how they can not just make more sales but effectively manage their finances and grow a profitable business.” – Milton Tutu, Growth & Marketing Manager, Selar.co
