Meet Millicent Bundi, a retired virtual assistant, digital marketer, and online business coach whose career has been defined by her dedication to empowering others. With years of experience in the digital landscape, Millicent has not only navigated the complexities of virtual assistance and digital marketing. Still, she has also been a source of guidance for aspiring online entrepreneurs.

She teaches African women how to start earning online income through affiliate marketing and selling digital products in various niches. 

Now how did she start her journey as an online coach? 

Before digital coaching, Millicent worked as an administrative assistant and then as a flight attendant at AirKenya Express for seven years until shortly after COVID-19.

“COVID shut everything down, and I had to think of better ways to make money. I remembered my Upwork account and revamped it. In February 2021, I got my first client on Upwork, and thus my journey started as a virtual assistant. As I worked with clients to achieve their goals, I became interested in digital marketing.”

From interacting with different clients on Upwork, she learned about earning passive income through affiliate marketing and selling digital products.

“I started earning more through multiple streams. It was exciting. My friends kept asking me questions about it, so I started hourly consultations to answer their questions. This was how I came into coaching.”

Today, she leverages her multiple interests and earns money from different streams, all within the digital space.

What’s her day-to-day like? 

She starts her day early with exercise before diving into work. Sometimes, her clients have one-time projects, like digital marketing strategy set-ups, project management and social media management. She completes the tasks associated with those jobs and then focuses on her students via scheduled strategy or coaching sessions.

“I love that I can work from anywhere. I’m not tied to my computer all day. I could be outside having lunch with my friends and still be working. Sometimes I don’t work at all, but I’m still earning money.”

What does this mean? 

With a range of digital channels at her disposal, from her now-retired virtual services to her coaching sessions, Millicent has mastered the art of earning passive income.

“I’ll say it’s not been easy. It took a lot of time and effort to get to this point. In December 2023, I felt burnt out because I was running three big coaching programs that year that took a lot of my time. I had to slow down and focus on myself.”

However, she has help.
