There are 3 ways I get jobs as a freelancer…

1. Upwork

2. ⁠LinkedIn

3. ⁠Cold Emails

Sometimes, I use them individually... Other times - I use all 3 together.

But regardless, I get the jobs I want 9 out of 10 times.

Here's how...

1. Upwork

First, I find and pitch for jobs on UpWork...

Now, for anyone who doesn't know what Upwork is - Upwork is the largest freelancing marketplace in the world!

Every single day, at least 10,000 job posts are dropped on Upwork across all niches. 

As long as you have a digital skill, there's a job opportunity for you on Upwork.

But, the problem is that 90% of freelancers fail on Upwork - because they don't get hired.

There are 10,000 job posts on Upwork every single day - and 12 million freelancers trying to get the jobs. 

Crazy, right?

Do you want to know what else is crazy? 

Regardless of that statistic, I get almost all of the jobs I pitch for.

Because what a lot of freelancers don't understand is... 

It's one thing to deliver a skill, and it's something else to sell yourself - while putting the client first. And 90% of freelancers just don't know how to do that.

Anyways, let's move on...

After pitching on Upwork.

2. LinkedIn

I go to LinkedIn and I send a personalized connection request to the same client I just pitched on Upwork. 

And from that same LinkedIn, I get the client's email - EVEN IF THEY DID NOT MAKE IT PUBLIC.

And then...

3. Cold email

I send the client a cold email.

Most times, the client hires me after my Upwork and LinkedIn... 

Other times, they respond to my cold email, and then hire me.

Now, all this usually takes me 30 minutes each time.

Which, if you look at it, is a while, right? 😂

But when I pitch for 5 jobs, I get either 4 or all 5 of them.

And I don't even have to pitch all the time...

The clients I work with end up hiring me long-term - BECAUSE OF THE WAY I PITCH.

So I'm killing two birds with one stone - Making sure I get hired and not having to worry where the next job is coming from.

NOW, if we're looking at a 30,000 ft overview of the whole thing - that is my method.
